A popular pasta restaurant reopened at two sites in the area after it relaunched under a new name for the start of the New Year.

Rigatoni's, formerly SUD Pasta and Sugo Pasta, reopened on Altrincham's Shaw's Road and at Sale's Stanley Square this week.

Some of the delicious dishes are available for less than £10 including some of those which give the business its new name – rigatoni with oil, salt, pepper and parmesan (£7.50) and rigatoni with white beans, chilli, garlic and parmesan (£9.50).

Others including rigatoni with crab in vodka sauce (£12.50) and rigatoni with nduja in amatriciana sauce (£13.50) remain reasonably priced too.

Alex de Martiis and Michael de Martiis, the Manchester-born brothers behind the business, aim for these prices to allow them to bring their popular pasta to the masses in the long-term.

Alex de Martiis said: "Rigatoni's marks a new beginning for our restaurants. Our aim is to serve our communities for years to come with an accessible, quality and uncomplicated menu.

"So far we have seen an incredible reception for Rigatoni's and we are looking forward to welcoming old customers and new customers into our restaurants over the coming weeks."

Rigatoni's has a total of four sites in Greater Manchester including Altrincham's Shaw's Road, Sale's Stanley Square and Blossom Street and Peter Street in the city centre. It is available on Deliveroo and for takeaway from January 15.
