A passenger was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a parked vehicle in Urmston.

The emergency services were called to Trevor Road at around 3am on Christmas Eve.

On arrival a passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries which are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening. It is thought they were in a Volkswagen Polo which crashed into a parked vehicle.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen while police are appealing for any witnesses as part of an investigation into the incident.
