A man has been charged after a woman allegedly suffered a racially aggravated hate crime in Trafford this week.

Greater Manchester Police received reports a 42-year-old woman was subject to a hate crime in Trafford on Tuesday (November 28).

Now, Christopher Krukowski has been charged with racially aggravated public disorder.

The 32-year-old man of Rushmere Walk, Old Trafford, was remanded into custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court later today (November 30).

Inspector Scott Wolstenholme of GMP's Trafford North Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Greater Manchester Police continues to affirm our commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of every individual in all of our communities.

"We remain clear that racism has no place in Greater Manchester, we will not tolerate discrimination in any form.

"We continue to provide support and reassurance to the public to ensure people feel safe.”
