An investigation is underway after a man in his 20s in was shot outside a venue in Salford.

Police attended after the man in his 20s arrived at hospital with a wound in the early hours.

He told them he was shot outside Un.titled Studio, a venue on Astor Road, at around 2.30am on Sunday. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

An investigation is underway but there are no arrests at the time of writing.

Detective Sergeant Karl Perry, of GMP Salford, said: "This incident is clearly a shock to the local community and we are doing everything we can to ensure the victim receives justice. 

"Enquiries are ongoing and finding those responsible remains a priority. This is being treated as an isolated incident and there are a number of patrols in place around the local community and they will remain there over the coming days to provide reassurance."
