Two men were charged in connection with ATM thefts across the region.

Wesley Shepherd, from Sale, and Benjamin Thompson, from Wythenshawe, appeared at Manchester Magistrates' Court over the weekend.

Shepherd, of Thirsk Avenue, and Thompson, of Kenworthy Lane, both of whom are in their 30s, were charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to cause an explosion and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.

The charges are in connection with ATM thefts across the region in which it is thought explosives were used.

GMP's Serious and Organised Crime Group started an investigation into these incidents over the summer.
