A man was discovered dead after the emergency services were called to an incident in Partington.

The emergency services were called to the incident on May Walk at around 10.30am on Sunday.

On arrival at the estate off Larch Road a man was discovered dead. The police revealed no other information about his identity or the cause of death although it is 'non-suspicious'.

On Sunday, a GMP spokesperson said: "Currently GMP are in attendance at an incident on May Walk.

"Sadly, despite best efforts of emergency services, a man has been pronounced deceased at the scene.

"His family are aware and are being supported.

"The death is being treated as non-suspicious."

And a GMFRS spokesperson added: "Just before 10.30am, four fire engines from Altrincham, Sale, Eccles and Gorton fire stations attended an incident involving a property on May Walk.

"Crews arrived at the scene and assisted colleagues from Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters were in attendance for around three and a half hours."
