An investigation is underway to identify two men who could be “anywhere” in the country.

Police want to question the pair in relation to an ongoing safety investigation by West Yorkshire Police in Leeds.

Greater Manchester Police have shared their appeal as well and have urged members of the public who may know anything to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: “Detectives from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit have immediate concerns in relation to these suspects and are appealing for information from the public to help identify the men whose images have been recovered from online activity.

“Subject 8 has a distinctive tattoo on his hand.

“We still need to identify these men.

“Extensive enquiries have so far been unable to identify the suspects, who could be anywhere in the UK.

“We are therefore asking for the images to be shared as widely as possible.

“A man who featured in a previous version of this appeal on June 30 has now been identified and arrested.”

Anyone who knows the identity of the two men or has any other details can call Leeds District Safeguarding Unit on 101 quoting crime reference 13230358020.

Alternatively, witnesses can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
