Police are appealing for assistance from the public to trace the next of kin of a man who died in Stretford.
Beric Atkinson died on Shrewsbury Street this week.
Appealing for information about Mr Atkinson in a post on social media, GMP Trafford said there are thought to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of the 85-year-old.
In UK law, there is no definition of next of kin, but it is understood to be the closest relative, whether a partner, parent, child or sibling.
Anyone with information about the next of kin of Mr Atkinson is asked to contact the Police Coroner's Office in Stockport on 0161 856 9677.
