A Timperley musician is one of 156 teenagers to earn a spot on the National Youth Orchestra for next year.

The orchestra received more than 600 applications from all across the UK.

One of those successful was Georgia Paxton, a French Horn player who was also on the National Youth Orchestra this year.

She alongside the rest of the orchestra is now set to perform at concert halls all over the country, as well as at a number of schools.

Here is the programme for January, with the programme for other concerts in spring and in summer still to be confirmed.

Tickets are free for teenagers and are available from each venue's website.

  • January 6 – Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham
  • January 7 – Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry
  • January 8 – Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool
