Police seized 13 stolen vehicles and other stolen parts from an address in Tameside after an incident in Trafford.

The stolen vehicles and stolen parts were taken from around Greater Manchester, but it was a burglary in this borough which led officers to an address in Ashton.

On Monday, officers raided the address on Whitelands Road and made the extraordinary discovery.

An investigation is now ongoing into those involved, with police promising updates 'in due course'.

A post on social media reads: "Officers from the Neighbourhood Crime Team have conducted a warrant on Whitelands Road, Ashton. The warrant resulted in the find of 13 high value stolen vehicles from around the Greater Manchester area – as well as a significant number of vehicle parts.

"The warrant followed some good work from response officers, who with the assistance of the victim, identified the site following a burglary in the Trafford area.

"The site was secured whilst officers sought a warrant, after which entry was forced and the discovery made.

"Investigations are ongoing in relation to those involved, and further updates will be provided in due course."
