A Canadian coffee chain is set to open one of its biggest branches to date in Trafford Park.

Tim Hortons arrived in the UK five years ago, and it has since set up in a number of locations across the region.

Next in line is Barton Dock Road, where the coffee chain is set to open one of its biggest branches up until now.

Set over two floors with seats for 200 people inside and 40 people outside, and also with a drive-thru, it is expected to create around 75 jobs.

Kevin Hydes, chief commercial officer at Tim Hortons, said: "Our opening at Trafford Park feels like the next piece of the puzzle in our quest to access more and more people in Manchester.

"This is a popular destination with lots of people visiting the area for leisure activities, football and shopping and this will be our first restaurant reaching those in the western part of the city."

James Whittaker, executive director of development at landowner Peel L&P, added: "We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Tim Hortons to bring their popular offering to TraffordCity.

"We know Tim Hortons will be warmly welcomed and further enhance our food and beverage offerings as well as creating even more jobs in the area for the local community.”

Trafford has a branch of the coffee chain in Altrincham already, although another branch in Sale closed in 2020.

Applications for the 75 or so jobs in Trafford Park are open now.
