Angela Rayner has returned a questionnaire to officers investigating whether lockdown rules were broken at a gathering in Durham last year, a party spokesperson has said.
Ms Rayner, who is deputy leader of the Labour Party, is under investigation alongside Sir Keir Starmer after the leader was caught on camera drinking a beer in the local MP's office after a day of campaigning.
Initially, Durham Police said there was no offence, but it changed this decision last month after 'significant new information'.
It issued a questionnaire Ms Rayner and Sir Keir, who have both said they will stand down if handed a fixed penalty notice.
At the time of the gathering in Durham, lockdown rules allowed those from different households to meet outdoors, but not indoors.
But the Labour Party has argued the beer and food was consumed between work, so it was within these lockdown rules.
