THE Met Office has issued an amber warning for wind in Trafford and across a lot of the UK on Friday.

The warning starts with the arrival of Storm Eunice at around 5am tomorrow and lasts until around 9pm, with a risk of damage to buildings, debris, and disruption to transport. There is also a risk of power cuts.

Residents are told to avoid travel unless essential.
