A MAN and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of drug offences after a raid in Sale.

Officers from GMP Trafford's Central Neighbourhood Team made the raid on Norris Road at around 8am on January 20.

An amount of class A drugs and class B drugs were seized, as well as around £3,000 in cash.

Police then arrested an 18-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Both of them are still in custody.

Inspector Steve Bryant, of GMP Trafford, said: "Our team are committed to reducing crime and anti-social behaviour in our area and today's action is only a small percentage of the work our officers carry out to keep our community safe.

"Although we have two people in custody for questioning, our enquiries remain ongoing and I would like to extend my thanks to the local community for their support in reporting issues and providing us with information. This information is vital in allowing us to tackle the issues that impact you the most.
