TWO teenagers have been charged after a man was stabbed in Old Trafford during the weekend.
The emergency services were called to a business premises on Upper Chorlton Road at around 10am on Saturday.
They attended and found a man with serious injuries, who was treated and then taken to hospital.
Officers investigating the stabbing traced two teenagers to an address elsewhere in Old Trafford.
The two teenagers – who must remain anonymous for legal reasons – were arrested and the pair of them appeared in court for the first time on Monday.
A 16-year-old has been charged with causing actual bodily harm, while a 15-year-old has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm. Their next appearances in court are next month.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Mannion, of GMP Trafford said: "This was a horrendous attack, in broad daylight, that left a man with serious injuries.
"Thanks to the excellent work of police officers, we have made two arrests, and I hope this sends a strong message to anyone engaging in violent crime, that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated in our communities."
