Leading care centre Ashlands Manor in Sale has welcomed a new management team; local ladies Isobel Scott join as registered manager and Rebecca Regan as deputy manager.

With Ashland Manor’s existing manager Lisa Astley moving to help establish the team at New Care’s latest care home Bridgewater Manor in Worsley, Isobel and Rebecca take the reins in Ashton-upon-Mersey and have the knowledge and expertise to continue the high standards and warm atmosphere for which the care home is renowned.

With many years’ experience in nursing and specialisms in mental health and dementia care, the duo makes a formidable team and take responsibility for the safe running of the 57-bed care home, ensuring the highest quality of leadership and care for its residents and 100-strong employee team.

A registered mental health nurse since 1995, Isobel is an accomplished care home manager with a natural and engaging style that gets the best from people through kindness, support and encouraging career progression and development from within.

She commented: “New Care has a wonderful reputation for being a great company to work for, delivering the highest standards of care and encouraging training and development.  When I visited Ashlands Manor, I found the environment and provision of care second to none and wanted to be part of this exciting adventure.  A friendly and enjoyable place for all those who live, work and visit, I would like Ashlands Manor to be the best it can be supporting every resident to live their best life.”

With a nursing degree and a Master of Science in Dementia Practice, Rebecca is also well qualified and was previously clinical dementia lead at a care home in Cheshire.  She is looking forward to supporting Isobel and further enhancing the care and provision at Ashlands Manor to ensure that residents benefit from their many years of expertise but also new ideas and visions.

Rebecca said: “I was initially attracted by New Care’s superb industry reputation but my mind was made up when I entered the home for the first time and immediately received a warm welcome.  I want everyone who walks into the home to feel the warmth, happiness and respect we have for our residents and our staff and to see their happy faces and enjoyment of life.”
