A TRAFFORD Park attraction is paying its own special tribute to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he was sacked as manager of Manchester United.
Solskjaer was relieved of his role as manager of the Red Devils after a loss to Watford at the weekend, leaving the club eighth in the Premier League with a crucial Champions League clash against Villarreal to come.
The Norwegian leaves Manchester United after almost three, trophy-less years, in which finishing second in the Premier League and Europa League in the 2020-2021 season will go down as his finest achievements.
But the staff at Legoland Discovery Centre, based in Trafford Palazzo, believe even these achievements are worth commemorating in bricks.
As a special tribute to Solskjaer, the attraction made a miniature manager and put him outside a miniature Old Trafford, complete with a crestfallen expression and a suitcase.
Jenn McDonough, general manager at Legoland Discovery Centre, said: "Following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s departure from Manchester United, we wanted to wish the former manager good luck with his future.
"Our team built a replica Solskjaer outside our Miniland's Old Trafford to honour his three years he spent at the club.
"Hopefully, whoever takes over from Ole can turn around the side’s fortunes this season and lead them to bricktory."
