A FLIXTON resident spotted two burglars in the hallway of their house on Monday.

According to a post on social media by GMP Trafford, the burglars entered the house on Rothiemay Road using an unlocked front door at around 9.15pm, but were soon seen in the hallway.

The men made off from the house without taking anything, before police were called.

An investigation is ongoing and police have issued a description of the men involved.

The first is described as white, around 18 years old, 5ft 4in with a slim build. He was wearing a black coat, black trousers with white stripes and black trainers, as well as a medical face mask.

The second is described as black, around 20 years old, 5ft 8in with a stocky build. He was wearing a dark coat, black trousers, black shoes and a black balaclava.

Officers are making door-to-door enquiries, and are warning residents to take extra care with their home security.

GMP Trafford's post on social media said: "Please remember to check your doors are locked and secure even when you're at home."

Anyone who sees something suspicious is asked to contact police on 101, or 999 if a crime is ongoing.
