WORK on improving the Bridgewater Way from Sale to Stretford is expected to start later this year.
The work is being funded by a multimillion pound lottery grant won by Sustrain, after a public vote last year.
The company will work with owners Peel Holdings to improve the walkways and access alongside the canal.
