This October will see some spine-chilling special events come to Blackpool to celebrate Halloween.

The events taking placewill have something for all ages against the backdrop of the famous Blackpool Illuminations.

Blackpool Pleasure Beach: Journey To Hell Freak Nights

When: October 8 - 31

11 nights of Journey To Hell Freak Nights are back this year, giving guests a terrifying experience through nine scare zones after-dark.

The experience lasts 90 minutes and is restricted to people aged 10+. Children aged 10-16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Blackpool Tower Dungeon

When: Monday – Friday 10.30am – 5.30pm, Saturday 10am – 7pm, Sunday 10.30am – 6pm

Where better to get spooked than by diving into the history of Lancashire?

Learn about the Pendle Witches, see the torture chamber and dare to get on the Drop Dead Ride.

Pasaje Del Terror

When: Monday – Friday 2pm – 6pm, Saturday and Sunday 11.30am – 6pm

Visit the UK’s longest and most intense scare attraction if you dare.

Characters from some of cinema’s scariest horror movies are sure to give you the fright of your life in this immersive experience.

Blackpool Zoo: Spookfest

When: October 16 - 31

Blackpool Zoo is inviting visitors to unravel the mystery of the missing pilot at their annual Spookfest event.

Children will turn into daring detectives to find clues to help solve the ghostly myth and search through the immersive Dinosaur Safari.

Children can also go on a pumpkin hunt from October 23 – 31.

Sea Life: Ascarium

When: Monday – Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday and Sunday 9.30am – 6pm

Sea Life’s aquarium has been transformed into an immersive witch’s trail.

Visitors will have to help the Sea Witch find her missing potion ingredients with a special treasure chest at the end for those who are successful.

Blackpool Ghost Walk

When: Thursday and Saturday 7pm until October 30

Join The Victorian Ghost Hunter as he guides you through Blackpool’s most famous and haunted locations, telling tales of myth, mystery and maybe even murder!
