THIS is the moment a fly-tipper was caught on camera dumping two fridges in a car park.

Jacek Kryk, of Chester Road in Stretford, was caught on CCTV taking the fridges out of his van and leaving them in the car park in Old Trafford.

On seeing the footage, the CCTV control room passed it to Trafford Council's Environmental Improvement Team, who launched an investigation.

Last Friday, October 8, the investigation ended as Kryk pleaded guilty to fly-tipping at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court.

He was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay costs of £300, plus a victim surcharge of £21.

Responding to the sentence, Cllr Stephen Adshead, the council's executive member for environmental and regulatory services, stressed 'environmental vandalism' is not tolerated.

"If we catch you, we will prosecute you and take you to court.
