STRETFORD and Urmston MP Kate Green has relaunched her annual Christmas card competition.

The MP visited St Matthew's C of E Primary School in Stretford to relaunch the competition, which has now been running for more than 10 years.

She has also written to all schools across the constituency inviting students to enter the competition.

She said: "Things have slowly been getting back to normal and it was lovely to visit St Matthew's to launch this year’s Christmas card competition.

"The standard of entries is always exceptionally high and I’m looking forward to this year’s designs.

"I want to say a huge thank you to [property developer] Wain Estates, who are sponsoring the card again this year. I'm very grateful for their support."

To enter the competition, students need to draw a design of a card by using the following template before emailing it to kate.green.mp@parliament.uk or posting it to Stretford Public Hall, Chester Road, Stretford, M32 0LG by Wednesday, November 3.

The best design will be used on the front of the card the MP sends out to hundreds of constituents at the end of the year, while designs from four runners-up will also appear inside the card.

All students who enter the competition receive a certificate, and the student with the best design receives a prize.
