FORMER Emmerdale and Waterloo Road star Adam Thomas is opening a restaurant at the Trafford Centre.

Thomas is opening Oh My Glaze alongside best friend and business partner Scott Graham later in the month.

Set up in 2015 as a street food stall, Oh My Glaze has been serving its signature sticky chicken and spicy sauces, as well as burgers and wraps, for more than five years.

But the restaurant outside the Great Hall at the Trafford Centre is its first home.

Thomas said: "From serving our Oh My Glaze wraps on the streets for five years, we have a place we can call home – the iconic Trafford Centre.

"We're buzzing to be launching this new venture, and after looking for several sites to launch our first Oh My Glaze kitchen we felt the Trafford Centre was the place to be.

"There are so many exciting things happening in and around Manchester – especially at the Trafford Centre – and we felt we had to be in the mix.

"And so, here we are… expect the unexpected and be part of the next chapter with Oh My Glaze!"

After appearances in Casualty and Doctors, Thomas found fame with a three-year, 50-episode stint as Donte Charles in BBC One's Waterloo Road.

He then went on to spend almost 10 years as Adam Barton in ITV's Emmerdale.

Thomas also appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, coming in third.

Although the restaurant at the Trafford Centre is Oh My Glaze's first home, it is not Thomas and Graham's first venture into the restaurant business.

They also own The Spinn Cafe Bar and Lounge in Gatley.

Zoe Inman, centre director at the Trafford Centre, said she was 'thrilled' their next venture is coming to the borough.

She said: "We’re absolutely thrilled that Adam and Scott have chosen the Trafford Centre for their first ever Oh My Glaze kitchen.

"Scott and Adam are joining us at a exciting time at the centre, as we prepare both the centre and our fantastic outdoor event space for Halloween and Christmas – and we’re sure that visitors are going to absolutely love what they’re bringing to the centre!"
