An Oldham woman has been hit with a large fine for taking part in a gathering in breach of Covid regulations.
Tameside Magistrates’ Court found Michelle Fleming participating in a meeting on Amberwood in Chadderton which involved two or more people in February this year.
The offence took place at a time when Oldham was subject to tier four regulations.
Fleming, whose address was given as Villa Road in Oldham, carried out the offence in breach of the Health Protection Regulations of 2020 brought in at the beginning of the pandemic.
Following the outcome the court hit the 39-year-old with a fine of £1,760 and gave her a month to pay it.
