THESE photos show the aftermath of a devastating blaze after an arson attack in Timperley last night.

The emergency services were called to Beechlands next to Beech Fields at around 8.30pm on Sunday.

They arrived to find a car had been set alight, with the fire also spreading to a motorhome.

Firefighters from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) spent one hour and 45 minutes tackling the blaze, in which no one was injured.

Meanwhile, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called just after 8.30pm on Sunday to reports of a car fire outside an address on Beechlands in Timperley.

"Officers and fire crews attended, and found a car had been set alight.

"No one was injured, no arrests have been made, and police are working alongside fire investigators to establish the circumstances around what happened."

A spokesperson for GMFRS added: "At approximately 8.35pm on Sunday, firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Beechlands in Timperley. One fire engine from Altrincham quickly attended the scene.

"The fire involved a car which spread to a motorhome.

"Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels to extinguish the fire. Fire crews were in attendance for around one hour and 45 minutes."
