ORGANISERS at Manchester Marathon have published an interactive map of the road closures during the event.

The marathon, which was cancelled in 2020 and moved from April this year, is happening on Sunday 10 October.

It will see around 40,000 runners take on the marathon or half-marathon route, both of which are almost entirely in Trafford.

The marathon route starts and finishes as usual in Old Trafford, and also takes in Stretford, Sale and Altrincham.

To allow the runners to take on the challenge in safe conditions, a number of roads in the borough will be closed.

These road closures are at different times between 8am on the Saturday and midnight on the Sunday, and can be crossed in certain locations.

All of the information is contained within the interactive map, for which there is also a printable version on Manchester Marathon's website.

Arrangements for Manchester Marathon are subject to constant review, with Greater Manchester Police, Trafford Council and Transport for Greater Manchester all involved.
