THE price of Trafford's most expensive property on Rightmove has been slashed by a quarter of a million pounds in a bid to sell it.

Tanglewood, a mansion on Dobb Hedge Close in Hale Barns, appeared on the property website in the middle of July.

Originally £5 million, its price is now a much more reasonable £4.75 million – a reduction of £250,000, or five per cent.

This reduction is around the same as the price of the average property in the UK.

Surrounded by sprawling grounds which back onto the countryside and some woodland, Tanglewood has six bedrooms, six bathrooms and a home cinema.

The 10,000-square-foot mansion also has environmental technology like solar panels and security technology in the form of CCTV and even panic buttons.

It is still Trafford's most expensive property on Rightmove by a distance, as the price of the next most expensive – also in Hale Barns – is only £3.75 million.
