FORMER Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon has launched a Trafford Centre summer school to prepare children for the return to the classroom.

Fallon, 25, who starred as Bethany Platt up until 2020, was seen frolicking next to a yellow school bus outside the Trafford Centre's Great Hall.

The bus is outside the Trafford Centre from today until Saturday, offering a range of free sessions with the aim of boosting children's confidence.

It is something close to heart of Fallon, who has experienced abuse and bullying in the past.

She said: "I have my own personal experiences of dealing with online abuse and trolling, so I know first-hand how difficult it is to deal with hate or bullying.

"I know for students, and their parents, going back to school is a daunting and anxious time.

"I therefore think it is a fantastic idea to spread the message of positivity and confidence and I would encourage families to join in the fun."

The sessions, which are to be led by charities, influencers and some of the Trafford Centre's own retailers, cover issues like anti-bullying and body positivity.
