A LIVERPOOL restaurant chain popular with the likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane is set to start a new venture in Trafford.
Okan Bulut is hoping to open Maturo Meathouse on Station Road in Urmston in either late September or early October.
He is the manager of Macello Meathouse, a set of steakhouses offering 'the best selection of meats' and 'fine wines' to the people of Merseyside.
The winner of multiple TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice awards, Macello's original restaurant is just outside Liverpool's top 50 on the travel site.
Its website says: "Macello aims to provide a one of a kind dining experience by offering the best selection of meats, accompanied by fine wines.
"The experience begins the moment you enter the door, welcomed by a warm smile.
"After selecting from a wide range of prime cut meats, you would have a chance to be part of the cooking process through a chef’s display of skills through an open concept kitchen and charcoal grill.
"It will then be sliced and seasoned in front of you, to get the best out of it," it adds.
Macello is popular with the players of Liverpool FC, who punctuate the restaurant's Instagram with impressive regularity.
The Reds' feared attacking trio of Salah, Firmino and Mane make an appearance, as do defender Virgil Van Dijk and goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
And Okan's plan is to attract the players of Manchester's Premier League clubs with much the same offering in Urmston.
It will take a lot to lure the players from their restaurants of choice in the south of Trafford and Cheshire.
But if the photos and videos provided by Macello are to be believed, Okan is in with an excellent chance.
