A NEW consultancy with a 'fresh approach' to planning and development has been launched in Altrincham.

Found on Victoria Street's Garden Place, Enabl is the brainchild of Matt Dixon and Louis Howard.

It aims to help developers to bring their schemes to life on time, on budget and to a high standard.

A planner and a project manager respectively, Matt and Louis built the consultancy on three simple principles.

Matt said: "Developers want to know three things: What can I build? What will it look like? What will it cost?

"I'll tell them with a commercial eye what can be built, we'll link with the most appropriate architects to design a scheme for the site, then Louis will guide them on the cost."

Enabl is working with developers like CERT Property on schemes such as Insignia - a set of apartments on Old Trafford's Talbot Road - and Royal Canal Works in Stretford.

It is also involved in the redevelopment of the former St John's Medical Centre on St John's Road, Altrincham.

The consultancy prides itself on giving all of these schemes and more the same care and attention.

Louis said: "We believe the industry needed a fresh approach - one that gives clarity to developers early on.

"Our aim is to give every scheme as much chance as possible to be a successful one that will be delivered."

Matt added: "We're also discovering that we're a useful knowledge hub, bringing sites to clients, clients to architects, architects to developers.

"We join the loops without being prescriptive.

"We really enjoy working with lots of different consultants who we know and trust to be both innovative and visionary.

"We have the ability to assemble a bespoke team of talent, specific to a project that will assist a project to completion.

"Everything that comes across our desks we take a personal pride in seeing built.

"Working in isolation, where you do your bit then hand over to someone else and you go on the next job, is not what we're about.

"It's about collaboration, re-adjusting, re-thinking, making the best buildings in the right location and ultimately having the satisfaction of walking through the door when they're complete."
