POLICE have had a near miss with a driver whose windscreen was obscured by his sat nav.
GMP's traffic officers were in Stretford when the driver of a Toyota Prius, believed to be a taxi, failed to give way at a junction and almost collided with their police car.
The officers put a 'follow me' message on their car's matrix board, which the driver ignored.
They eventually stopped the driver, who said he ignored the message as he 'had a job on'.
To make matters worse, the officers discovered the driver's windscreen was obscured by a sat nav in the very centre of it, limiting his view of the road.
The officers reported the driver, before sharing the news of the incident on social media.
