POLICE made two arrests in Urmston last week after a report of youngsters with offensive weapons.

Officers were called to Broadway, near Laburnum Road, on Thursday 24 June.

On arrival, they arrested two youngsters on suspicion of affray and possession of offensive weapons.

In law, affray is described as using or threatening to use violence towards another in a way which would cause a person of 'reasonable firmness' to fear for their personal safety.

The pair were taken to custody for questioning and an investigation is ongoing.
