A BLACKBURN car dealership has restructured its team to lead a post-lockdown sales drive.

Bowker Motor Group, which has been in the business for over 100 years, says that this will come into effect across its Trident Park Blackburn and Preston centres, which will aim to work more closely together in the coming months.

The restructuring will see general sales manager Richard Cowell promoted to Bowker BWM and MINI group sales manager, while new recruit Craig Stephenson has joined Bowker BMW in Blackburn as new car sales manager.

Group director Chris Eccles said: “By restructuring our sales team we can focus our award-winning customer experience across both sites.

"We’ve issued Richard and his team a challenge: to deliver and maintain the same high level of customer support, service and value whichever Bowker Centre you visit.

“Richard’s new role continues his long career with Bowker Motor Group and reflects his deep understanding of automotive retail.

"He has won awards and established himself as one of the most talented and well-respected automotive sales professionals in the region."

Mr Cowell, from Rawtenstall, has worked in his previous role for three years, while Mr Stephenson has worked in car retail for more than 14 years and will take on many of the responsibilities included in Mr Cowell's previous role.

Mr Eccles said: "The team has already worked together for a number of years.

"And, now, with Craig joining at Bowker Blackburn, we have an exciting group of ambitious professionals to lead our car sales post lockdown."
