YORK'S weekly recorded Covid-19 rate has dropped further, the latest data confirms.
The data from Public Health England (PHE) shows that the city's rate has dropped by three to 15.2 cases per 100,000 population. This remains below the UK national average, which stands at 22 cases per 100,000 population.
In North Yorkshire the rate has dropped by one to 17.8 cases per 100,000 population.
In the East Riding of Yorkshire the rate has dropped by four to 23.7 cases per 100,000 population.
Across the UK, a further 2,412 cases have been recorded, taking the country's total for the pandemic to 4,450,392.
