A DRIVER has had to pay a £1410 fine for reaching speeds of almost 100mph on a motorway.
The Lancashire Road Safety Partnership revealed the result of three recent court dates on their Twitter page.
In the first instance, a driver was fined £1410 and given 5 penalty points for reaching speeds of 97mph on the M6, where the speed limit is 70.
Up next was a driver who was clocked at 107mph also on the M6. They were disqualified from driving.
Lastly a driver who was caught doing speeds of 53mph on Blackpool Road in Preston, which is a 30 zone, was fined £508 and issued with 6 points.
