FIVE people from different households were caught travelling in a car which was later seized.

Officers out on the roads on Sunday night pulled the silver car over in Blackpool, only to discover that the full vehicle had been driven over 49 miles from Manchester to its destination.

It was later discovered that all five people inside the vehicle were from different households and that the driver only held a provisional licence.

A spokesman said: “This car travelled into Blackpool from Manchester.

“Five people on board all from different households and in clear breach of coronavirus regulations.

“Driver only had a provisional licence but had already amassed 6 penalty points.

“Vehicle seized and Covid enforcement action taken.”
