A WOMAN was rushed to hospital after she was knocked down by a van in a supermarket car park.
Officers and paramedics were called to Tesco on Hill Street in Blackburn shortly after 12.40pm on Wednesday to reports that a woman had been hit by a van.
The woman, in her 80s. suffered a suspected broken hip and injury to her leg.
She was taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
Photos from the scene show a police cordon in place outside the supermarket, with two vehicles parked outside the front of the shop.
