A MAYOR'S podcast series will continue to provide information to local residents.
Mike Starkie, Mayor of Copeland, has been recording and releasing podcast episodes in the hopes of keeping residents and businesses informed.
Topics covered include updates on available business grants and challenges affecting council departments.
Mr Starkie said: “Since the start of this pandemic, we have used the range of communication methods available to us to get accurate and timely information and advice to our residents when they need it most, including newsletters, media releases, social media and our website.
“This series of video podcasts that I am continuing in this new lockdown is another example of our commitment to keeping our residents and businesses fully informed and engaged.
“I know that viewers are finding them extremely useful because our community gets to hear from our officers and partners who are involved on the ground every day, in the grants process or managing waste collections for example.
"It’s never more important for our community to know about the outstanding work that is going on behind the scenes and on the frontline at Copeland Council and by our partners, to help them understand how we can support them – and vice-versa.”
The podcast can be accessed on the Mayor's Facebook page.
