OFFICERS searching for a missing mum have found a body.

Kiera Allardice, who is also known by her maiden name of Pearson, went missing on Wednesday, September 2 at around 3pm.

The 31-year-old was last seen leaving her home on Bury Road in Tonge Fold, and several searches to find her were held across the borough, and as far away as Blackpool.

Officers have tragically called off the search, after finding a body that they believe to be Kiera.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers searching for missing Kiera Pearson have sadly found a body.

"Formal identification has not yet taken place but it is believed to be Kiera.

"Her next-of-kin have been informed.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a file has been passed to the coroner."

Around 70 people, including complete strangers, turned out on Thursday, September 4 to search for her.

Her friends, family, and neighbours split up into three groups to search for her, to get her back home to 14-year-old son Leon.
