My stepson Jon is a brilliant chef, I know I’m biased but he really is, and after working as head chef for many years at various restaurants, he has now, with the support and assistance of his fiance Ellen, taken up his own permanent residence at ‘The Spoon Inn’ on Barlow Moor Road in Chorlton.

Val and I went along to his launch night and what a fantastic evening we had!

‘Thief Street Grill and Waffle’ is a street food concept, offering the very best hand made potato waffles, loaded up with incredible, globally inspired toppings and all the food is homemade using the freshest locally sourced ingredients.

We had a brilliant evening and I personally love, and highly recommend, the Korean BBQ chicken!

I hope that Wayne’s World readers will help support my stepson in his new venture.

So if you’re in Chorlton for a night out, pop in for the nicest loaded waffles you’ll ever taste! Say Wayne sent you!

He is also doing takeaways and you can find him on the Shocal App and Deliveroo!

You can find him there on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm to 9.30pm and if you would like more info you can email him at thiefstreet@outlook.com

I hope you’ll all join me in wishing all the very best of luck to Jon and Ellen for their new venture with Thief Street - Grill and Waffle.

I’d like to say a huge thank you to Natalie, from Phoenix Phusion at Urmston Artisan Market, for the lovely sign she made for our Jackahuahua puppy Betty.

It was a lovely suprise to receive such a beautiful gift for our new little, and spoilt furbaby Betty. Thank you so much.

Recently Val and I have been out and about around the Trafford area and we have found a few little hidden gems.

One such gem is ‘Sarah’s Yard’ behind Homewares Hardware Shop on the corner of Church Road and Broadoaks Road in Urmston.

We sat and had our coffee under the gazebo in this gorgeous, quirky setting.

I went inside and found a great little artisan and specialist food shop along with a bar.

It’s well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

If any of you use Facebook I have a page on there and I’m looking at doing a few live videos.

I’d love to have a chat with you about my passion for rat pack crooning and maybe have a little sing song too! So if you do use that social media I hope you will join me! Just search ‘The Wayne Devlin Page’ and you’ll find me!

I’m also on Instagram and Twitter as @MrWayneDevlin so give me a follow!

Well, thank you for your company again this week and I’ll see you back here in Wayne’s World next week and over on my community website www.allabouttrafford.co.uk on Sunday at 6pm for our weekly catch up ‘A Word From Wayne’.

See you next week!
