A FURTHER two people have died in Lancashire’s hospitals following a coronavirus diagnosis, the latest figures have shown.
The two deaths, which happened in different trusts, were announced to NHS England on Wednesday afternoon.
One of the deaths took place within facilities operated by Blackpool Teaching Hospitals, while the other occurred in a hospital operated by the Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
On Tuesday, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals announced a patient who had tested positive for COVID-19 had died – the first there in over a month.
A further two patients died within facilities operated by the East Lancashire Hospitals Trust last week - after more than two weeks without a death in Blackburn and Burnley's hospitals.
