ARMED police and a helicopter were called to reports of a domestic disturbance in Runcorn.
A large police presence was in attendance on Camborne Close after reports of an incident in a house at around 8.45pm on Saturday evening (August 8).
Firearms officers were among those who were called and a police helicopter was deployed to the scene.
A 50-year-old man from Runcorn was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill in connection with the incident.
The man in is being held in police custody where he is assisting officers with their enquiries, say police.

Detective Superintendent Sarah Pengelly said: “I understand that such a large police presence is likely to have caused some concern and I would like to reassure residents that this is an isolated incident.
“There are no reports of any inures and there is no risk to the wider community.
“Officers will remain in the local area for some time and I would urge anyone with any concerns to speak to an officer."
