STRETFORD Mall's craft ale and tap bar - The Longford Tap - has been crowned Best Newcomer for the Trafford and Hulme region by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale - Europe's most successful consumer beer organisation).
The team are delighted to receive the award - especially during such challenging times. They have worked so hard on the pub in general - but especially since COVID, making the place a safe and secure space, which has been working well since reopening.
Paul Burgess the owner of Longford Tap said: "We are thrilled to receive such an accolade, and have so many people to thank for helping us achieve it.
"They include, of course, our amazing staff for all their hard work.
"Our loyal customers and CAMRA members, without whom we wouldn't have the fantastic community spirit we do within the bar.
"We are blessed to be able to work with some brilliant local breweries, too, providing us with exciting ales, beers and other drinks.
"Since we opened nearly a year ago, we have all come together to make The Longford Tap what it is today.
"We love everything about what we do, and thank everyone for supporting us.
"This CAMRA award is a fantastic achievement and really means a lot!"
