SUPPORTERS of a Sale gaming club have been eager to welcome back members after lockdown.

Doors at Everyone Can have been barred since March because of the pandemic.

But now the School Road venture is making a return and wants to make up for lost time with the disabled community.

Personal protective equipment, hand sanitisers and social distancing are all in play at the reopened centre.

A spokesman said: "Covid-19 turned our world upside down, as we went from socialising with friends and family to being told to stay home and stop any form of face-to-face interaction.

"For some of our gamers it has been even more difficult, as a change of routine can cause huge amounts of stress and no longer attending their weekly gaming sessions has had a big effect.

"It took some of them a long time to feel familiar with the centre, to gain confidence and make friends so lockdown has put a pause on this and ultimately caused feelings of isolation.

"Now lockdown is being eased it is so important for the charity to reopen and bring their community back together so they can reverse the feeling of isolation and continue to help grow their confidence."
