AN investigation has been launched over reports of children becoming ill after going in the water at Rishton Paper Mill in Hyndburn.
Public Health England North West have posted on their social media channels this morning.
Work is underway with @PHE_NorthWest @HyndburnCouncil @LancashireCC @EnvAgencyNW and partners to investigate a potential issue with the water at Rishton Paper Mill in Hyndburn.

They added: "We have reports of children becoming ill after swimming in the water and would advise people not to enter the water.
"If you have swum in this water and develop sickness or diarrhoea, fever or abdominal pain within 10 days of swimming contact your GP."
Meanwhile, Hyndburn Council also wrote on Facebook about the latest news with the investigation taking place
