DEATHS from coronavirus at the Royal Bolton Hospital remain unchanged for another day.

Figures released by NHS England this afternoon continue to show that the last death of anyone at the hospital with the disease occurred on June 10. A total of 221 people in total are recorded as having died there since the Covid-19 pandemic began.

A further 38 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in the country to 28,832, NHS England says.

Patients were aged between 33 and 96 years old. Two patients, aged 50 and 69, had no known underlying health conditions

Altogether 4,710 people have died at hospitals in the North West with coronavirus, although the statistic does not include people who also had the illness and died in care homes or the community.

The Government says, throughout the UK 43,995 people have died after testing positive for coronavirus, including 39,434 in England.

Altogether 283,757 people have been confirmed as having tested positive for the virus, including 42,393 people in the North West and 1,785 people in Bolton.
