A SALE man caught drink-driving twice in two months has been banned from the roads for four years.

Simon Bettley, 51 was first pulled over on March 17, in Downs Drive, Timperley. Manchester magistrates were told.

He later gave a breath sample of 78mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg. Bettley was also found to be carrying a fish knife.

And on May 17 he was detained in Manchester Road, after which the breathlyser reading was 101mg, JPs heard.

Bettley, of Ascot Avenue, admitted to two offences of driving with excess alcohol and possession of a blade article. He was also ordered to do 300 hours community service and 20 rehab activity days.
