BOSSES at an Urmston care provider are celebrating after being named as one of the best in the North West.

Beloved Homecare offers care and support at home for the elderly throughout Trafford has for the fourth consecutive year won the homecare.co.uk Top 20 Recommended Homecare Providers in the North West honour.

The business was set up five years ago by Mark Collier and his family after his own mother lived at home with Alzheimer’s Disease for eight years.

Mark said: “Choosing a homecare provider is a difficult decision. Families are putting trust in a provider to support their loved one, keep them safe and enhance their life. At Beloved we take pride in everything we do.

“We are all about giving people dignified and person centred support.

“The award is dedicated to our amazing team of carers and our clients without whom we would not exist.

“If nothing else the accolade shows the public and healthcare professionals that they can trust us to deliver a service which exceeds expectations. We treat our clients and staff as if they are our own family.”

He added: “During such uncertain and worrying times, awards mean nothing.

“It is about the lives of all people which matter. The safety and well-being of all our clients and staff during the pandemic has been paramount.

“To say that it has been a worrying time for all during the last few months is an understatement.

“Although we all have to move forward carefully and be alert, I am delighted to say that all our staff and clients have stayed safe.

“Remarkably we have had two lady clients aged 98 and 99 who contracted the virus whilst in hospital.

“They have both shown remarkable resilience for their ages and have recovered. Nothing could match that feeling of elation knowing that they had recovered.

“Both ladies are now back in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own homes.”

Mark believes the reward is down to the hard work of staff.

He added “Our carers have been remarkable throughout, they have galvanised as a team with the common aim of supporting all of the clients and looking after each other.

“They have shown compassion, reliability and conscientiousness.

“They have gone above and beyond.

“Words alone simply cannot do justice to what they have done and how they have conducted themselves.

“I hope that we as a nation do not forget the incredible work that all care staff in the sector and indeed all key workers have done during Covid 19.

“Without all of them our nation would not be what or where it is today.”
