A MOTORIST has been arrested after he was clocked doing more than double the speed limit along a Trafford Park road.
Road traffic police patrols observed the driver of a BMW taking his vehicle up to 94mph along Wharfside Way during a speed enforcement exercise on Saturday.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police's road traffic unit said: "It failed to stop and led us on a 100mph pursuit through Trafford Park into Eccles."
The spokesman confirmed that the BMW driver was arrested a short time later.
Last week officers from the same unit caught dozens of speeders during a crackdown in Stretford.
