SUSANNA Lloyd, co-founder of Artful Playground, an educational theatre company and leader of Artful Voices Choirs, decided to bring children together during lockdown in one charity single.

She planned for them to write and submit poems about their thoughts on coronavirus and their experiences of isolation.

Their work would be used to write a song which would be recorded at home and made into a track and music video.

Susanna said: “We received submissions from all over the country.

“I wrote the song and Rebekah Hughes arranged it.

"Dan Smith added the guitar and bass lines."

She added: “The song is a powerful pop/rock/musical theatre ballad.

"It was mixed and engineered by Matt Gill and Army of Love was released on Wednesday, May 27. I am so happy.

“So many people were involved that we reached our target of £1,000 for Children in Need in 14 hours although we hope to raise much more.”
